Dand Patta
The gauntlet sword of the Marathas — a flexible blade fixed to an armoured glove, deadly in trained hands.
The dand patta combines a long flexible blade with a protective gauntlet hilt that covers the hand and forearm. Maratha swordsmen trained in mardani khel could hold off multiple opponents with sweeping circular strikes, making it one of the most feared close-combat weapons of the era.
